Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Preparation
- Choose the Container:
- Select a container that is heat-resistant and non-flammable, such as glass, metal, or ceramic. Ensure the container is clean, dry, and free of any debris.
2. Preparing the Wick(s)
- Attach the Wick(s):
- Remove the wick sticker barrier from the bottom of the wicks.
- Center the wick in the bottom of the container, pressing firmly to ensure it sticks.
- if using a container with more than one wick, such as our 3 Wick Tumbler Jars, remove old wicks and replace with new wicks, one at a time to ensure the placement is correct for an even burn.
- Remove the wick sticker barrier from the bottom of the wicks.
- Securing the Wick:
- Use a wick holder or a pair of chopsticks to keep the wick centered while pouring the wax. Ensure the wick is straight and taut. You can also use a clothespin, or any rod shaped item to bend the wick over to ensure it stands up straight while your wax is hardening.
3. Melting the Wax
- Using a Microwave:
- Place the microwave-safe container that is filled with wax in the microwave and heat in short bursts (1-2 minutes) until melted, stirring between each interval. Be cautious of hot spots. PLEASE BE ADVISED WAX WILL BE HOT SO PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
4. Pouring the Wax
- Pour the Wax:
- Carefully pour the melted wax into the prepared container, leaving about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) space from the top. Pour slowly to avoid air bubbles.
- Adjusting the Wick:
- Immediately after pouring, adjust the wick to ensure it remains centered. You can use a wick holder, pencil, or chopsticks to hold the wick in place until the wax sets.
6. Setting the Candle
- Cooling:
- Allow the candle to cool and set completely. This can take several hours, depending on the size of the container and the room temperature.
- Trimming the Wick:
- Once the wax is fully set, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) above the wax surface. This ensures a clean, even burn.
7. Final Touches
- Inspect the Candle:
Check for any imperfections, such as uneven surfaces or air bubbles. If needed, you can use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently smooth the surface.

Enjoy your freshly refilled candle!
Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place lit candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
Burn candles on a stable heat resistant surface.
If burning multiple candles, place
each candle at least four inches
apart from one another. This is to
ensure they don’t melt one another,
or create their own drafts
Never leave a burning candle
unattended or lit while sleeping.
If you are going to leave the room
or go to bed, be sure to extinguish
all candles first.
Prior to burning your candle,
trim the wick at least 1⁄4 inch. This
prevents uneven burning, dripping
or flaring. Allow the candle to burn
until the wax pool reaches the edge
of the container to prevent
tunneling.
Do not use water to extinguish a
candle, this can cause the hot wax
to splatter and could break a
glass container.
Avoid burning for more than 3 or 4
hours at a time. Otherwise carbon will collect on the wick. This can
cause the wick to become
unstable.
Warning: Some ingredients, including fragrances and essential oils, may cause allergic reactions. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
Always exercise caution when handling candles and hot wax. Your safety is our priority. Enjoy your candle-making experience.
